In 2005 Freddy joined the Mid Rogue Independent Physician Association as Director of Marketing for its Mid Rogue Health Plan. In 2012 he became Director of Communications for Mid Rogue’s newly formed Coordinated Care Organization, AllCare Health Plan.

An Oregon resident since 1986, Freddy has always believed strongly in local service and accountability. In 2006 he took the groundbreaking step of establishing an Advisory Committee—a group of CareSource members offering input directly to the executive team. The committee’s suggestions about everything from products and services to plans and costs have led to greater customer satisfaction and innovative benefits, such as free over-the-counter medications. That kind of direct and local approach characterizes Freddy’s business philosophy.

In fact, Freddy attributes much of Mid Rogue’s success to the hundreds of local providers and experts, including the entire Mid Rogue staff. Every day executives, marketers, IT professionals, and support staff fill the Mid Rogue offices in Grants Pass and Medford. Receptionists answer as many as 10,000 calls each month—and every call to Mid Rogue is answered by a real person. As Freddy says, “I can’t stand voice-mail and phone trees, so why would I subject my customers to that?”

Prior to joining Mid Rogue, Freddy owned and operated an insurance business in Astoria, Oregon, for 16 years.
