Colene Martin is thrilled to be working with the business community as the President/CEO of The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband Ron owned a retail business in Grants Pass for 27 years that they sold in 2007. Her business experience gives her a strong understanding of the Grants Pass community and its relationship to the success of business.
Colene serves on the Board of Directors for Mid Rogue IPA, Mid Rogue Foundation, and is a member of The Rotary Club of Grants Pass.
Goals as leader of the chamber are:
- Focus on delivering consistent great quality products and projects that give value to chamber members.
- Build strong relationships with entities that effect local business.
- Create a strong local economy by promoting our community and the chamber members.
My daughter and I came to Grants Pass in 1980. For 15 years I worked as an upholsterer before going back to school for a degree in business. I started with the chamber part time while going to school and shortly after I graduated, there was a full-time position opening. Working at the chamber and being a part of the business community in Grants Pass is an honor. For fun, I spend as much time as possible on the Rogue River and camping nearby. I also collect rocks and read a lot. Please don’t hesitate to call if I can be of service.
