More than 1 million workers in Oregon don't have a retirement savings option through their job\, making it all the harder to save.\n\nOregonSaves can help\n\nStarting in July 2017\, workers in Oregon will have a new\, easy way to save for retirement. The State of Oregon created OregonSaves for all workers who do not have a retirement savings option through their job. It allows employees to save part of their paycheck in their own personally managed ac-count. Oregonians work hard for their money\, and it's time their money went to work for them.\n\nThis free seminar will help you\, as an employer\, prepare for the program.\n\n\n\nThe seminar is targeted toward business owners\, payroll managers and human resource managers.\n\n\n\nPresented by: Joel Metlen\, Public Engagement Manager for Oregon saves\n\nJoel manages outreach and stakeholder engagement for Oregon State Treasury's OregonSaves program. He has 14 years of public service experience. He worked in New York City as the Deputy Director of the Revenue Divi-sion of the NYC Parks Department\, and he was the Business Operations Manager for foodservice at DC Public Schools. Prior to joining Treasury\, Joel was the Communications and Legislative Manager for the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace. He has a B.F.A. from New York University and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins
