DESCRIPTION:www.heartlanddancestudio.com\n\n\n\n\n\n42 Years of Dance Productions!\n\nEvery year in June\, Heartland Dance Studio runs its annual dance production. We strive to make this experience unique\, magical\, and heartfelt for our dancers and our audience members alike. The stories for Heartland's shows are chosen not only for their adventure and characters\, but also for the meanings behind them. They represent Heartland's ideals of kindness and family: through toils\, dangers\, and moments of crux\, we tell stories that represent the world not as it is\, but as it could be. Classic fairytales are excellent vessels for our purposes--and we love putting our own twist on the classics!\n\n\n\nOur shows tell their stories through solo and group dance numbers combined with narration (often live!). Past productions have included such favorites as Cinderella\, Sleeping Beauty\, Little Red Riding Hood\, Alice In Wonderland\, and\, most recently\, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz!\n\nIn February\, we start gearing up for the big weekend. Class structure begins to incorporate our show choreography\, which is supported by our unvarying attention to and practice of technique. Learning the dances for the production is a great way to practice new steps\, musicality\, and working together as a group.\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Pinocchio\n\nThe story of Pinocchio\, written by Carlo Collodi\, was first published in Italy in 1883. We've adapted the original text for our own\, unique production. Our story follows the adventures of a wooden marionette brought to life by magic. A delightfully curious character\, Pinocchio is the embodiment of childhood innocence: truly pure at heart\, but lacking the experience to make good choices.\n\n\n\nThrough Pinocchio's encounters with outlandish characters that run the gamut from cruel and manipulative to compassionate and heroic\, he learns the difference between right and wrong\, the value of family\, and what it means to be "real." It is a heartwarming tale\, full to the brim with precepts just as valid now as they were when Pinocchio was written. We're thrilled to give our Heartland spin to this unforgettable story\, and we welcome you to join us when it's time for the curtain to go up!\n\n \n\n\nBecome a Heartland Sponsor HERE\n\n(Ad Deadline May 20th\, 2019)

About Pinocchio
\n\n
The story of \;Pinocchio\, written by Carlo Collodi\, was first published in Italy in 1883. We'\;ve adapted the original text for our own\, unique production. Our story follows the adventures of a wooden marionette brought to life by magic. A delightfully curious character\, Pinocchio is the embodiment of childhood innocence: truly pure \;at heart\, but lacking the experience to make good choices.

\nThrough Pinocchio'\;s \;encounters with outlandish characters that run the gamut from cruel and manipulative to compassionate and heroic\, he learns the difference between right and wrong\, the value of family\, and what it means to be "\;real."\; It is a heartwarming tale\, full to the brim with precepts just as valid now as they \;were when \;Pinocchio \;was written. \;We'\;re thrilled to give our Heartland spin to \;this unforgettable story\, and we welcome you to join us when it'\;s time for the curtain to go up!
