When SOU professor emeritus Irving Lubliner's mother, Felicia Bornstein Lubliner, passed away in 1974, he inherited her written and verbal account of her internment in Polish ghettos and two Nazi concentration camps, Auschwitz and Gross-Rosen.
At first her shared her stories with middle- and high-school students, But after encouragement from students, teacher, and parents he compiled these stories into the powerful account. "Only Hope: A Survivor's Stories of the Holocaust."
Hailed by historians and students alike, as unforgettable, compelling, and powerful ONLY HOPE takes the reader through the turmoil and despair of the holocaust and brings them to the end with the hope, will and determination of a survivors saga.
Irving Lubliner will be at Oregon Books and Games on November 16, 2019 from 11:00 PM-2:00 PM. And don't miss out! at 12:30 PM hour Irving Lubliner will share excerpts from Only Hope: A Survivor’s Stories of the Holocaust, shedding light on his mother’s experiences and indomitable spirit, as well as his experience as a child of Holocaust survivors and his process in bringing the book to fruition.
