    Event Description:

    WHAT IS A MOAI?
Walking Moais are groups of 5-8 people that meet weekly for 10 weeks to walk together and socialize.

The term "moai" (pronounced mow-eye) comes from Okinawa, Japan. It means "meeting for a common purpose," and originated as a way for villagers to support each other. Social networks have a long-term, proven impact on well-being. The Blue Zones Project is inviting you to join us at the Riverside Park Centennial Gazebo to learn more about the Moai concept and join a Moai group. This seems to be the most optimal time of year to walk we hope to see you here!
