  • Business Director

    Position: Business Director
    Pay: $17-$19 per hour DOE
    Start Date: February 2021
    Benefits: Health Insurance stipend, IRA, Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay
    Description: The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Business Director. The Business Director manages day to day operational activities, including production, human resources, and accounting processes. This individual would thrive in a fast-paced environment to help us continue reaching our goals.
    Job Duties:

    • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems
    • Manage membership database
    • Prepares payroll, monthly financials, budgets, statements, and other financial reports as needed
    • Assist in preparation of Annual Budget
    • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
    • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
    • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and internal control
    • Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
    • Manage accounts receivables and payables
    • Prepares minutes and agendas for Board of Directors and committees
    • Establish and maintain communication with members, vendors, and partners
    • Responsible for all membership correspondence
    • Manage daily administrative operations
    • Answer telephone calls and emails from customers and clients and directing them to relevant staff
    • Support operations, including sales, marketing, and public relations
    • Maintain records for all maintenance and service contracts
    • Assists President & CEO as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Associate degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent work experience
    • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Preferred)
    • Experience with ChamberMaster (Preferred)
    • At least two years’ experience in related field
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Highly detail-oriented
    • Outstanding communication and customer service
    • Able to succeed in a fast-paced office setting
    • Occasional after hour and weekend events
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
