Grants Pass Equipment Rental was owned and operated by my father, Jerome Brown, since 2001. He purchased it after our family moved down to Oregon from Alaska for my dad to "retire". Retirement didn't work out too well for him since he spent much of his life dedicated to working. Since his passing from cancer in September 2016, I changed my career from nursing to business owner, and took over the responsibility of keeping the rental yard up and running. It was quite a career change, but a good one -- as a single mother, being a business owner has allowed me to raise my two children and take them to and from school among other extracurricular activities.
