About Us

The Southern Oregon Guild is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit membership corporation made up of artists, craftspeople, literary, and performing artists engaged at all levels of artistic and professional development. Our mission is to support both practicing creatives and creative expression in all its forms by providing education, economic opportunities, and quality arts events for our members, local community, and the greater Southern Oregon region.

Our Gallery & Art Center, located in the historic Kerby Belt Building, is a hub of creative activity. It is a public place that makes the high quality and amazing diversity of creative work produced in our region visible and accessible to tourists and locals alike. Art and fine crafts are available for purchase at our co-op Gallery where we produce four member exhibits a year, each with opening celebrations. Providing workspace for art projects, our Art Center also has an extensive collection of equipment – computers, design programs, printers, a photo studio and more -- for creating artwork, producing educational and marketing materials, or composing grants.

Through our Growing Creative Community Program, we produce a variety of educational classes that can be attended online or in-person at our Gallery & Art Center. We strive to showcase how creative expression in its innumerable forms threads throughout our community. We offer both Guild Members and local artists paid opportunities to share their skills, as anyone can apply to teach a class through our online proposal form.

We invite you to join our family of creatives today!
